Other than martial arts, I do have a few other hobbies. I have always loved the feeling of freedom you get when riding a motorcycle. When you're out riding on a curvy mountain road like Deal's Gap, it just feels as if there is no such thing as time and you don't have to worry about anything. You just enjoy the experience.

My first motorcycle was a 1983 Kawasaki KZ550. I bought it in a salvage ready state for $300, spent about $200 in parts and got it running. I rode it for about six months then had to tear it down for some leaky seals and a blown head gasket, at which point I lost the free time I formerly had to work on it.

I later happened across a very nice 1989 Kawasaki ZX600R Ninja. I bought it for $1800, had the time of my life riding it for a whole year, then sold it for $1900.

I'm afraid to start talking about my car, a 1989 Ford Mustang 5.0, because I'm likely to take up this whole page talking about it. For that reason, I'll just refer you to my web site dedicated solely to the car.
