Another thing that bothers me
If Obama loses to McCain in the fall, the mainstream media is going to be saying we “were not ready for a black president.” They’ll say this despite the fact that the population is pretty much split 50/50 Republican and Democrat.
Pearl of Wisdom
A pearl of wisdom from Rush Limbaugh:
“John McCain is really depressing conservatives. It was just five years ago that he was toying with leaving our party. In 2004 he toyed with being Kerry’s vice president. We’re so screwed.”
That’s exactly how I feel.
The Real McCain RecordĀ
Obama’s America-hating pastor
I’m glad that Obama has condemned his pastor’s controversial statements, but Joseph Farah is right: If your pastor was saying stuff like that, would you stay in that church? Would you have your children baptized there? I certainly wouldn’t.
“We believe in white supremacy and black inferiority and believe it more than we believe in God.”
“We [...]
The lesser of two evils…
I don’t like the idea of voting for John McCain. I’ve said it many times before, but I’m afraid we’re going to lose the Republican party to liberals if we keep voting for the lesser of two evils rather than insisting on quality conservative candidates.
On the other hand, Daniel Oliver made a great point on [...]
Not satisfied with McCain? Vote for Huckabee.
If you live in a state that has not yet held its primaries and you do not support McCain, I’d encourage you to vote for Huckabee. McCain is still short of the nomination, and we don’t have to support the establishment candidate. Huckabee can’t get the nomination, but he can ensure that we get a [...]
Liberals, liberals, everywhere
According to National Journal’s ratings, Barack Hussein Obama was the most liberal of all US senators in 2007. Hillary was ranked 16th. Those conservatives who are thinking an Obama presidency would be better than a Hillary one better think again. On the Republican side, we have John McCain, who didn’t even vote enough last year [...]
Fred calls it quits
Fred withdrew his candidacy today.
UPDATE: Mitt Romney issued this statement:
Throughout this campaign, Fred Thompson brought a laudable focus to the challenges confronting our country and the solutions necessary to meet them. He stood for strong conservative ideas and believed strongly in the need to keep our conservative coalition together. Ann and I [...]
My punditry days are over…
I’m 0 for 2 now. I thought Romney was out of the race after New Hampshire, and I thought Fred was going to win in South Carolina. Just goes to show that you can’t make accurate predictions if you’re emotionally invested in the outcome.
I’m disappointed that South Carolinians decided to vote for John McCain and [...]
David Limbaugh: Answering Fred’s Call
David Limbaugh (Rush Limbaugh’s brother) encourages people to support Fred Thompson:
Commentators are citing the unpredictability of the Republican primary contests as proof that Reagan conservatism is dead when precisely the opposite conclusion is warranted.
The main reason the conventional wisdom is being shattered in the primaries is that conservative voters, so far, have not been persuaded [...]
